1. Japan Arts Day  will be celebrated at the Natrona County High School at 7:30 pm on Sep. 23 (Sat) in Casper, Wyoming. Denver Taiko celebrates 30 years with a show full of new surprises!  Free admission.

2. If you are an Elementary school teacher and want to teach about Japanese culture in your class room between September 25 and 29 as part of the Japan Arts Day celebration, please contact us by September 4. JASWY may be able to find volunteers in your area.

3. UW ELS Language Centers is expecting a wonderful group of students from Kobe College in Japan for a four week program in Laramie this summer. I am very excited about welcoming another fantastic group to Wyoming this summer.

There is a need for 1-2 more families to host the students (all females) from August 13th-September 9th in Laramie.  The Host Family program is a paying guest program.

Hosts receive a stipend to provide a private room, 16 meals per week and some transportation (if needed). Staff and families really enjoyed working
and connecting with the Kobe students last year. The students left with wonderful memories of their families and Laramie!

If you would like to refer someone who would be interested in this opportunity, have them contact ELS Language Centers at the University of Wyoming. The number is 307-766-3900. My e-mail is
